Alphabets- composition composed for the Helsinki Computer Orchestra is named after and based on internet-found sound material - pronouncing dictionary for Finnish alphabet.

It explores the human voice with indefinite sound manipulating capabilities of computers, by a full orchestra

29 musicians with only laptops as instruments.

Each of the musicians is given one recorded alphabet to

”play”. The score, which is formed as a crossword puzzle, defines when and how each of the musicians manipulates their given letter.

The result is a composition grown out of the ascetic conceptual principal into an imaginary mechanic-psychedelic fantasy.
